Work in a highly technical environment

Great Lakes Veneer uses the latest technology to manufacturer hardwood veneer that is a used in a variety of products, including engineered wood flooring, musical instruments and skateboards. From a maintenance and production standpoint, our automated technology rivals—and many times outpaces—multinational companies. We offer several types of job opportunities:

General production: We have a variety of opportunities for men and women working in hourly production, which provides steady, consistent pay with light industrial manufacturing work. We also provide part-time opportunities for individuals interested in flexible hours.

Skilled machine operators: Our machine operators are highly skilled and trained to run our high-tech heavy industrial machinery.

Maintenance: Our electrical, mechanical and welding fabrication technicians and mechanics accept the challenge of keeping our complex machinery running smoothly. They are also tasked with identifying and troubleshooting issues, providing a well-rounded work experience.

Log yard: Log yard employees run the heavy equipment that unloads, stacks and moves logs that are used in our manufacturing process. These employees especially enjoy working outside year-round. 

Student employment: We have been fortunate to provide part-time work for area high school and college students, who benefit from improving their work and personal skills. We offer flexible scheduling around sports and other extracurricular activities during the school year and throughout the summer.
